Opportunities from adversity
I am always interested in learning about any situation or challenge, and one of the more powerful lenses I us is one of reversing or opposites.
As most of us are starting to become more and more present to, there are major global disruptions sending ripples across lives and businesses across the globe.
Hardly anyone can hand on heart claim to not be impacted, directly or indirectly.
Today I am curious about your experiences and what is becoming increasingly apparent to you related to your work, your business or relationships.
When we are cruising along and things are going pretty good, it is no real need to stop up and have a good luck at what is really going on.
When a crisis occur (like the current energy price chaos), suddenly everything becomes a challenge and it is natural to gravitate to reactive and not very strategic responses and behaviors.
This short term thinking and acting is a great alternative to paralysis in most cases, but chances are that the crisis is bringing forward or to the surface problems that would emerge at later stage anyway… You simply have avoided them, or even taking the time and energy to identify and address them in a timely and organized fashion.
In most cases it is still opportunities to recover or even leverage from the challenges, turning a problematic situation into one where opportunities are up for grabs.
Can you agree to this statement, and how could it apply to you in your current situation?
Who can you turn to when life is throwing obstacles at you, helping you breathe and think clearly.
Are you trying to hold yourself accountable for what you do or do not do?
If you are like the majority of us, you do need someone else to hold you accountable.
Intention and will is not the same as actually getting into action and push through whatever needs to be dealt with.
Please reach out for a chat if any of the above reflection resonates with you, maybe I am just the resource you are looking for….!
