The smell of rain….
Such a wonderful sensory experience this morning.
After a long stint with dry and warm weather, this mornings walk was gorgeous.
Good soaking rain changes the quality of air, the smells are massively amplified and even the feel of humid air on my face…
Adding to this is that the rain was not like a flash flooding causing all kinds of problems and challenges, it was simply a nice warm gentle continuous drizzle..
Just what we needed around here, refreshing and nurturing.
Experiences like this are pretty much requiring of us to step out in nature, away from news and social media.
Walk, move around, breathe…. Just Being!
Part of a well balanced maintenance and development regime for each and one of us is to set aside time, and make sure to spend time in nature - regularily
Not only when/if things allow for it or when the weather is perfect….
Making time for self a priority, book it in your diary (appointment with Self) and go - even if the weather is not ideal or perfect.
Nature is very much alive and waiting for you, just you!
The world news, work challenges and relationships will still be there when you are back, but you will be back with charged energy and inspiration.
