Life - Geometry and balance

I have connected with an ancient symbol that I am using to explain to my clients and others when sharing my process and thinking providing Coaching services.

It has a few names and usages over the passage of times, and for me this Triquetra symbol is a wonderful model reference.

I look at each of the three points as a representation of three key elements and aspects of the individual, as well as a group of individuals.

I see the Knowing - e.g. academical or empirical knowledge. The library of information gained and integrated

I see the Doing - developed skills, organization / structure. How we apply our Knowledge at work and in life. In General, ‘‘the mechanics’’.

I see the Being - inner awareness and self insight. Mental stability, resilience. Who we are, for ourselves and in the world.

Now look closely at the symbol and imagine it as spokes in a wheel, the central piece is trying to balance out each spoke as it starts to move.

The idea is to consider the importance of geometric weight and tensioning of each of the three elements…

What will have to happen (!) when the wheel speed starts to increase, if the three elements are not well weighted and balanced?

You guessed it, it will start to wobble and the weakest element will need to be tried to be compensated by the others

In the world as we know it, the emphasis and resources focused on is definitively the Knowing (School / Education) and Doing (training and organisation, Wax On Wax Off)

The Being is for many not even on the radar, what significance is that element - surely we are mentally fit and prepared for everything life chucks at us….

It is not occurring as important in most cases, until there are emerging and impeding impacts on our mental health and wellbeing.

Does this stir up something for you, does it resonate at all for you?

I would love to have a conversation with you about where you are at and where you would like to be - across any of the three elements.

Please use my contact links to get in touch, make a comment or share something with me and others.

See you soon!
