Powerful Conversations

I must admit, the recent media exposures of concerns by many key people inside of ‘‘The world of AI’’ has had me rattled.

As a process engineer by training I have some insights into very early and non-sophisticated Machine Learning principles, it was all very exciting and full of promise.

The emerging control technology was aimed at stabilize complex and multivariate problems, reducing error rates - waste and improving performance overall.

What seems to now be happening is that a much more complex and advanced artificial intelligence realm is developing, at a rate that is even hard to fathom.

It is happening so fast that those that are in the classic and traditional sense placed in positions of managing everyone’s best interest are hardly able to keep up with the development.

Machine learning on steroids (or maybe rather on Terra Watt scale of computing power), machines are now training machines - increasingly faster…….

I feel that there has probably never been such a need for human interactions, conversations, coaching and mentorship.

Our AI bots are increasingly available and useful on many levels, and the way they respond and provide input and solutions is appearing very human and compassionate even.

My biggest worry is that we start to feel that AI is much more convenient, smart and reliable compared to other people around us.

Todays quote is by the US President declaring that their AI’s must be better than anyone else’s, so that they can WIN…….!

I can not help but speculate what that WIN will look like at the end (no matter who wins), I am not sure if I like what comes up for me.

I feel that my Coaching mission and service is becoming increasingly important for those who still are seeking human interaction and support.

Having a trusted person making the time to fully listen and help create clarity, direction and purpose will only become more and more scarce and rare.
