Listening

Watching - Observing the world, social media, family, people in the community and in workplaces.

What a rare treat it is to come across someone simply focusing fully on the other person in any communication.

What constitute conversation, more often resembles an Australia Open tennis-match.

Any possibility to smash or respond is taken and used for all it is worth…. and for what reason I wonder….?

When was the last time you engaged in a communication with someone who really:

  • Saw you.

  • Heard you.

  • Listened to what you had to say without any interruption

  • Took the time to really think about what you said, and allowed for 5 or more seconds before speaking

We are often so busy and stressed that being fully for someone else (and vice versa) is almost a forgotten life skill.

What might be possible if you found yourself in a deep and fully present listening situation with another person?

Would you be excited or worried about what might emerge?

I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences if you are happy to share.
