Moments of feeling fully alive

Early Saturday morning, Kingston Beach Tasmania at Break of day.

Frosty sand, frosty fog in the first rays of the sun - water still double digit C’s.

Rugged up for 25 minutes of Wim Hof guided breathing in preparation for the cooling waters of the River Derwent with a bunch of great men.

Ripping of all the layers and wading into the water while feeling the rush in the blood and the shock to the whole body as dipping under.

Shouts and hollering, laughing - BEING FULLY THERE!

Then the amazing feeling of satisfaction and achievement when wading back to short to get dressed and start warming up, having overcome the temptation to skip the process this morning!

I did it - Again!

I know it is not for all, but this weekly routine has turned into one of my favorite activities for self care and collective experience.

Checking in with each other and see how we are all going.

A cuppa at the local cafe after, with light or deep conversations depending on what is happening at the time.

What are some of your routines and processes for looking after yourself and those around you?

If you are a man and would like to try hanging with a group of men like this, make contact with me for details.

Have a great rest of your weekend!
